Stage 1 - The Daily Driver Sweet Spot
The first unlock from factory calibration. Fuel maps, boost targets, and injection timing are rewritten across the full RPM band. The +69 hp and +48 lb-ft arrive primarily in the mid-range - pulling harder from 1,800 rpm with noticeably sharper throttle response. Most drivers see a small improvement in fuel economy under normal driving. Fully compatible with stock hardware. Best choice if you tow regularly or want maximum reliability alongside the added power.
Stage 2 - More Up Top
Pushes fueling and boost targets beyond Stage 1, with gains concentrated in the upper RPM range. +77 hp / +52 lb-ft over stock. Fuel economy under normal driving stays close to stock. Temperature parameters are elevated - not recommended for sustained heavy towing. Stock hardware compatible.
Stage 2.5 - Factory Turbo Ceiling
The maximum calibration the stock turbocharger can support - 327 hp / 501 lb-ft. Extracts everything from factory hardware while retaining all safety parameters. Best paired with a DPF delete for full effect. Spirited driving build; towing not advised.
Stage 3 - Turbo Upgrade Required
Requires a Garrett 2260VK, 2566, or 2872 turbo upgrade. Contact us before ordering to confirm current dyno figures and hardware requirements for your platform.
TCU (Transmission) Tune
The ZF8 automatic responds exceptionally well to calibration. Shift points are raised to match the tuned power band, kickdown delay is reduced, and torque converter lockup is optimized for the added torque. Recommended with Stage 2 and above. Not compatible with 2009-2010 Touareg and Q7.
Tune Add-Ons
Cold climate idle, hardcut rev limiter, dynamic EGR, glow plug extension, immobilizer delete, left foot brake/brake boost, oil pressure increase, and DPF/Adblue/EGR/swirl-flap deletes are available as individual add-ons for this platform — select the ones you want alongside your tune.
Tune Delivery
Delivered via OBD flash using the Flashzilla Pro - plug into your OBD port and flash from your laptop. A Flashzilla Pro OBD device is required (sold separately) - add it to your order below.
